Airports Alerts

Passenger service workers, the people who assist travelers with
disabilities, as well as security service workers, sky caps, baggage
handlers, cabin cleaners, janitors, ramp and ground crew – all the
subcontracted service workers -- are coming together in SEIU to raise
standards and improve quality services.

Taken together, we are the eyes and ears of security and the hands and
hearts of quality services at the airport.

Right now, quality services and security at California airports are
suffering from a broken, low-bid contracting system. Thousands of
airport service workers are stuck in a cycle of inadequate training
and equipment, low wages and benefits that drive high turnover and
drag down airport security and airline customer satisfaction.

Working together with disability rights advocates, community leaders
and airport directors, we're asking the airlines to take
responsibility for the security and quality of services in
California's airports.  Join us!
